Tax Payments & Correspondence
Payments can be mailed to the address listed above. In-Person payments during tax collector office hours - 1320 E. Philadelphia Avenue, Gilbertsville, PA 19525 (Old Police Dept. side). Payments can also be placed in the drop box located within the township building during operational hours or through the mail slot in the tax collector door after hours.
Payments can be made by personal check, cashier check or money order. For security reasons, Cash payments will not be accepted. Please note that personal checks cannot be accepted after 12/15/2026. Payments after that date must be made by cashier check or money order.

Under the Local Enabling Tax Act, all residents of Douglass Township are assessed a tax of 1% on their earned income. 1/2 of the 1% (0.5%) supports the Boyertown Area School District, and 1/2 of the 1% (0.5%) is general revenue for Douglass Township.
Berks Earned Income Tax Bureau collects the Earned Income Taxes for Douglass Township.
